Hey John, 1550mts is the highest point in Lima, but the usual districts like Miraflores, Barranco and Lima Center are just a couple of dozen meters above sea level. There’s even some that are at 0mts, such as La Punta in the district of Callao!

Hi Thomas, We can recommend Latam, Peruvian, Avianca and Star Peru. There are some price differences between them and Peruvian usually is the cheapest. Latam however tends the most reliable. If you’re not too short on time you can also consider travelling by bus so you can see more of the surroundings and so you can adapt to the altitude gradually (Cusco is at 3000 metres and Lima only 50).
