]]>Tuckernuck’s Friends & Family Sale is LIVE! Use code FRIENDS to save more when you spend more.
One of my favorite online retailers for clothes is Tuckernuck. It makes up a large portion of my wardrobe since they have gorgeous dresses, unique blouses, great shoes, and fun accessories. They carry some of my favorite brands (along with their own, very cute, in-house brand), and I’m always adding things to my wishlist from there. And while I knew they had a home section since it’s in at the top of their menu online, I never spent much time scrolling there until recently.
In the last few months, I’ve started to truly appreciate Tuckernuck’s home section for gift ideas and decor for my own house. And since summer vacations are in full swing, I thought it might be helpful to round up my favorite hostess gift ideas from Tuckernuck Home to make your shopping easier. If you’re visiting a friend or family this summer, be sure to snag them something as a little surcee.
Tuckernuck carries fun brands and curates their sections so well that I want literally everything. The home section is smaller than their clothing selection, and it’s focused on dining, drinkware, linens, vases, and smaller gifts rather than full-size furniture, making it the perfect place to buy things for gifting or entertaining.
I often say that if I could only shop at one place for my wardrobe, it would be Tuckernuck, and now I feel similarly about their home decor and gift section.
A little background about Tuckernuck if you’ve never shopped there: Tuckernuck is an online boutique that carries clothes for women and men, along with a section for home decor and gifts. The brand was started in 2012 by three friends, and since then, it’s grown to be a well known retailer. Their style is classic, Americana style, with a fun, happy twist. I’d say that’s what I go for when shopping for myself, so I feel aligned with the brand ;).
Alright, let’s jump right in to some hostess gift ideas.
I gifted this Wildwood Embroidered Guest Book by Rifle Paper Co to my content manager when she moved to a new house, and she says it’s one of the most unique things she’s ever gotten as a housewarming gift. What’s more perfect for a hostess than a beautiful guest book for them to display in their home? This would also be a great wedding gift for newlyweds.
I can’t believe how perfect these cocktail napkins are – buntings!!! Absolutely perfect for a 4th of July themed hostess gift. If you’re staying with friends over the holiday weekend, don’t show up without these cute napkins. Cocktail napkins are a perfect hostess gift because it’s something that most people won’t purchase for themselves. They’re a fun, happy little gift that lasts a long time. Tuckernuck carries lots of cocktail napkins with fun motifs and designs, so be sure to check out their whole collection to see if something fits your hosts better than the buntings.
Another patriotic hostess gift idea for 4th of July summer plans. If you know me in real life, you know I’m a very proud American. I love our country, and I’m a big fan of showing that. Everyone needs a good tumbler, and sometimes it takes getting a few new ones to make you finally retire the old ones that need replacing. I love a practical gift like this. Four tumblers for $54 is a great price point too.
This golf themed set of short tumblers are going in my cart to bring the next time we visit Pinehurst with Tommy’s family.
I’ve never considered gifting a puzzle as a hostess gift, but for a trip where you’re staying overnight at someone’s home, I think it’s such a fun idea. My mind immediately goes to a beach trip with friends. The price point is awesome for this New York Puzzle Company puzzle, and I love the summer-y theme of sailboats.
Tommy would love to both gift and receive an American Flag koozie. It’s timeless, useful, and something that someone might not spend their own money on. Grab a case of their favorite beer to make it a larger gift.
I love the idea of a pretty picture frame alongside a bottle of wine as a hostess gift. If you’re really close friends with your hosts, you could put a photo in the frame of you all, or you can leave it blank for them to fill. The nice thing about the Two’s Company brand is that you can find it on Amazon too, so if you’re in a shipping pinch, you can always look there.
What a fun gift idea! This multi bottle wine tote would be easy to stock with your host’s favorite vino for a thoughtful gift. The “BYO” monogram made me giggle (Bring Your Own), but you could also personalize it for your hosts.
Another unique and special hostess gift! I was shocked by how affordable this Caton’s Wharf apron was when I found it, and with a little personalization, your host will feel so thought-of.
I’ve been seeing these Zafferano Poldina Pro Table Lamps everywhere, and I think they’re such a fun lighting option for an outdoor space like a dining or coffee table. While these specific lamps are a bit pricey, you can snag a more affordable option with a very similar look here on Amazon.
Yes, 100%. I’ve had lots of experience in the last year or so ordering from them, and their customer service is a 10/10. They reply SO quickly to my emails, whenever I’ve reached out. For such a successful company, they truly treat each customer like their order was the most important. It’s a perfect small business feeling with a large retailers’ selection — win/win!
Oh, and to make matters even better, Tuckernuck has free shipping and free returns for every order! The shipping isn’t super quick (5-8 business days), but free is free!
Happy shopping, gifting, and entertaining!

]]>The post My Favorite Gift Ideas for Tommy’s Birthday appeared first on TeriLyn Adams.
]]>All of that to say, the very first iteration of this blog post was one that I planned to delete. It didn’t serve a real purpose because I already had gift guides for all of the traditional seasons. But then it occurred to me that I didn’t have a generic, non-holiday-specific gift guide. A guide that would actually be helpful to reference when someone needs ideas for a birthday present, a graduation gift, something small to give a friend who’s hosting you for a weekend or letting you use their vacation home. A trusty source for gifts, no matter the season or occasion.
So that’s what I’m sharing today! March is actually Tommy’s birthday month, so it works out perfectly. Here are my favorite go-to gift ideas for the guys in your life.
I’m actually ordering these joggers for Tommy’s birthday this month. He’s recently started to wear more athleisure (he is usually dressed in a golf polo – tucked in – no matter what he’s doing that day), and I personally love Vuori, so I bet he will too.
I’m getting the Sunday Performance Jogger for him too since the material is different. These are more loungy than the others, and I think he’ll really like them for wearing around the house on the weekeneds.
These Cloudnova Sneakers are so cool looking. I want to get Tommy sneakers and some tops to go with those pants so he has complete outfits to wear. I’m sort of in to the Moon/Ice colorway.
Tommy could not be more obsessed with Duck Head if he tried. I’m serious– his love for this brand runs deep. In the colder months, Tommy wears their Fremont Performance Quilted Vest every single day (so if you find this post in cooler weather, snag that!). But now that it’s warm, he wears the Polo Shirts almost daily. He has every single color! And if he’s not in the polo, he’s in their Sport Shirt.
I’ve given a handful of the guys in my life a Hypervolt over the years, and it’s a hit every single time. There are a TON of brands and price points on the market now, so there is definitely something in every budget. A Hypervolt specifically isn’t necessarily the only way to go. Since that the brand I own, I always recommend it since I can speak to the quality, but I know there are a ton of other great options on the market. A massage gun in general is a perfect gift for a guy. Tech gifts are fun since you get to “play” with them!
I know very few guys who will buy themselves nice lounge pants or pajamas, but every guy I know loves them once they have a pair. My favorite brand for PJs (for myself!) is LAKE, and they have the perfect lounge pants for guys. I especially love that they aren’t classified as pajamas, since that may turn some guys off. This pair of Bamboo Lounge Pants is made of the smoothest, cooling bamboo material that has just a touch of spandex to make them stretchy and comfortable. They have pockets and fit a little bit like joggers. My content manager gave her very outdoorsy husband (who would have rolled his eyes at fancy pajamas) a pair for Christmas, and he is OBSESSED.
The fit is true to size, and the price tag is ideal–right in the $75 range.
I got one of my five brothers this Carhartt over-the-seat tool organizer for Christmas two years go. It’s so handy, durable, and practical since he always has tools in his car. I love the canvas material of Carhartts! And who doesn’t love when their guy’s car is clean and organized? You could pair this with a membership to a car wash for a bigger gift. My husband washes and vacuums his car every single week with his membership. A car wash membership would be an awesome gift on it’s own too for a 16 year old who’s starting to drive!
I love a unique $50-range gift like this.
This is a unique gift that I gave to my brother in law last year. It’s a solid, rub-on cologne that has the best notes ever: bergamot, rosewood, and ginger with hints of black pepper and resin. I’m very partial to the packaging too. Easy to travel with too.
If the guy you’re shopping for is a coffee drinker, I have the PERFECT gift. Other than a super fancy espresso machine (which, if you can go that route, stop reading right now and buy that instead!), the best gift I can think of is an Ember Coffee Mug. I truly can’t believe I went so long without one. I finally caved and ordered one when I learned that the charging puck only had to be used when the mug was out of battery (for some reason I thought the mug had to sit on the coaster to stay warm and that sounded like too much effort), I bought an Ember and I’ve never looked back. Most moms know that your coffee is rarely hot when you actually get to drink it, and this changes the game.
I got this personalized accessory box for Tommy as an anniversary gift last year. He loves it! It sits on the top of his dresser in our closet and has become the landing place for his watch, cuff links, sunglasses, etc.
A needlepoint sunglasses strap makes a great gift under $50. I got Tommy the American Flag style strap, but they also have fun designs like a trout pattern (great for a fly fisherman), this golden retriever design, and so many others.
I bought a disposable camera for Father’s Day and let Thomas take pictures all day. Then I mailed it into Mpix to develop––they give me digital files to print! It was honestly so fun.
A Solo Stove would be on the pricier end of gifts, but if you’re shopping for your husband, you can also consider this a gift for yourself. I’m adding it to this list because it’s on my personal list of gifts to buy Tommy. We want to have an outdoor set up in our yard where we can make s’mores with the kids and host our community group, etc.
There’s nothing better than an experience. Concert tickets, a guided fishing trip, a round of golf at a dream golf course, a couples massage, a weekend getaway, etc. The best memories are always made when you’re doing something with the person you love.

]]>The post My Favorite Gift Ideas from Amazon appeared first on TeriLyn Adams.
]]>One of my favorite work-related tasks each October is creating my holiday gift guides. I put together specific gift idea lists for different categories: gifts for moms/grandmothers/sisters + yourself, gifts for guys (the hardest to shop for!), and gifts for the littles in your life. Then I get even more specific and create guides for different interests like running or beauty. And today, I’m creating a retailer-specific guide since I know so many of us prefer to order things from the same place when we can.
What is that one place? Amazon, of course! There’s nothing better than free shipping on something that arrives the next day. And since Amazon carries many of my favorite retailers and items, I love that I am able to find so many great gifts for people in my life in one place. And it doesn’t hurt that they have such competitive pricing.
Today I’m rounding up my favorite gift ideas from our favorite one-stop-shop. I’m breaking this post up into His and Hers so that you can easily scroll and find ideas for those you’re shopping for. I have all of my gift ideas for kids linked in a separate post (and since they’re all from Amazon, I’m not linking them here). If there’s something I should add to the list, just drop a comment below this post so we can check it out.
I also have a TON of specific gift guides on my Amazon Storefront, so if you’re shopping for someone more specifically (teen boys and girls, white elephant parties, beauty or hostess themed gifts, you name it), and you can see all of those Amazon gift guides on my Storefront here.
I’m sharing a few of my top picks below, but you can always find more ideas in my Gifts For Her list on my Amazon Storefront.
My go-to gift in the $30 range is this Simple Modern water bottle. It’s better than the Stanley (yes, I said it), and every woman I know loves it. It’s lighter than the Stanley tumbler and doesn’t leak. And it’s also cheaper. I’ve gifted many of these in the last year. If you want to spend a bit more, pair the water bottle with a gift card, a candle, some LMNT electrolytes, or a lipgloss.
I use my Ember mug every single day. It re-heats your coffee so you never have to take a cold sip. Those of you with busy kids know that you rarely get to drink your coffee while it’s hot, and this mug changes that. I gift one of these to my new-mom friends, often paired with a LAKE robe (here’s my full review of LAKE pajamas and loungewear).
This coffee table book is a mix of beautiful images and devotionals written by Tara-Leigh Cobble, who hosts The Bible Recap. I love looking through this book as I read the Bible. It’s so cool to see photos of the places I’m reading about, and I love that this book is decor on it’s own. I gifted one to my MIL for Mother’s Day and she loves it.
It’s always fun to receive fun beauty products you wouldn’t buy for yourself, like this dry brush. Dry brushing is a trend the beauty world I can get behind, so if you’re looking for a small gift to give someone who keeps up with beauty and wellness trends, this Goop Dry Brush is just the thing.
If you’re looking for a nice hostess gift to take to someone you’re staying with this holiday season, the Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash is a perfect gift. Luxurious hand soap is one of those things that people don’t like to buy for themselves but LOVE to have in their powder bathroom. The Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash smells clean and expensive. It’s not floral or super sweet, but rather the scent you’d expect in a luxury hotel. I love the packaging too.
I’ve been wearing this knit pullover non-stop for weeks since I bought it (I’m wearing mine as I type this). I love that it covers my bum and fits very oversized, and since the sizing is so forgiving, it would make a great gift! I have a size small.
This silk pillowcase was a best-seller during the Prime Big Deal Days and for good reason. It’s very hard to find real silk at such an affordable price! I love that these come in many colors and sizes, and have a hidden zipper making them very streamlined for the rest of your bedding. I ordered a handful of these to gift for Chrismtas this year.
I gifted these wine glasses to my content manager for her birthday and then my nanny got me a set for my birthday and I love them! They come in a set of 2, are made of the best thick/substantial blown glass material, and look so chic. And for only $30, you could gift two sets if you wanted to make a more full set!
As someone who is a real-book lover, I was hesitant to get an e-reader, but I honestly love mine mine! It’s so convenient, especially because I can leave it in my purse all day and read whenever I have to wait for an appointment. It’s also more comfortable to read in bed since I can read one handed and anything to be more comfortable while pregnant, I’ll take. The books are cheaper on Kindle too.
Similar to above, I’m highlighting my favorite Amazon finds below, but you’ll find more gift ideas in my Gifts for Him idea list on my Amazon Storefront.
We own and love our deep tissue massage gun, but it’s pretty expensive. We own the one that our sports massage team uses (and yes, I do think it’s worth the price), but if you’re looking for an affordable option, this budget-friendly massage gun by OLsky has incredible reviews. What guy doesn’t want a tool to help them loosen those sore muscles and knots in their back!? Saves you from giving back rubs too. Win win.
I really love the idea of gifting a record player + some special records. It’s so fun to find old records at local stores, and you could begin a collection together. You can find some VERY expensive record players on the market, but this one for $40 on Amazon is too good to pass up. It also has bluetooth and AUX cord capabilities, so you’re not limited to vinyl.
This portable charging bank is not a boys-only gift by any means, but it’s definitely a great option for the guys in your life if they’re complaining about their phone’s lack of charge all the time. I bought two of these for myself over Prime Big Deal Days so that I could keep one in my purse and one in my office. I love that you can keep using your phone while it’s charging your battery and that it doesn’t have any cords. If you keep it charged so that you can use it whenever you need, it’s such a blessing. No more excuses of phones dying while on the golf course.
This Oral-B Pro is the toothbrush both Tommy and I have and love. A toothbrush may not be the most “fun” gift you could think of this season, but many guys like practical things.
I’ve been seeing people talk about these back and neck foam rollers on Instagram and I think Tommy would LOVE them. If your husband or boyfriend complains about back pain all the time, these Chirp Wheel Foam Rollers would make a great gift. You lay on them and they help release the tension in your back and neck. Sounds heavenly.
I’m getting Tommy a Solo Stove for Christmas so we can use it as a family. We’ve never had a fire pit in our new backyard and I think Thomas would have a blast making smores!
These eye massagers make me giggle, but SO many people rave about them! They would be a great gift for any husband or dad who loves tech things (or is just overworked). I would honestly love to try them myself.
A portable bluetooth speaker is always a great gift, but I LOVE that this one has a clip! It’s perfect to attaching to a golf bag. Think of all the ways they could use this — even just clipping it to their belt loop while they do house projects!
I’ll continue to add to my Amazon Storefront whenever I find more gift ideas for Him or Her. Make sure you’re following me there! And I always send out Amazon finds every Sunday to my email list, so be sure to join the list here.

]]>The post The Best Gifts for Grandparents appeared first on TeriLyn Adams.
]]>I would love to know some of the best gifts you’ve given grandparents over the years so that I can come up with ideas for this year!
First, let’s start with ones that are really for grandma or grandpa and have nothing to do with their grandkid. Then, we’ll get into some specific ideas if you want something more personal! My parents are in their 70s and 80s and my in-laws are in their 70s and these ideas have worked well for them. If the grandparents you are shopping for a bit younger, you may want to check out my Gift Guide for Guys and Gift Guide for Women.
I’ve given this this Cozy Robe from LAKE to both my mom and MIL over the last two years and it was a hit with both of them, especially since they both live in places with very cold winters. This robe is lined in the softest fleece you’ve ever felt, and it’s incredibly thick and cozy for the cold winter months. It has deep pockets, a feminine turn-down collar, and the waist tie is sewn onto the back so you never lose it. I wear this robe every single morning and night in the cooler months. Even if the grandmother you’re gifting to already has a robe, I bet she’d switch to this one after feeling it.
We gifted 23 & Me, a DNA Genetic Testing Service, to Thomas’ grandma (aka B.G., Tommy’s mom) and she absolutely loved it. It’s a great idea for anyone who is hard to shop for because they already have everything and it’s also a great idea for family members who love family history and genealogy. It’s fun to get the results back and learn a bit about your family tree.
Another year, we got Thomas’s OG (what he calls Tommy’s dad), a Hypervolt massage gun. OG is a golf pro, so he really appreciated being able to use the massage gun on his sore muscles. Tommy and I also own one of these and use it daily. It’s the same brand that our massage team uses, so you know it’s good. Come to think of it, this would be a GREAT gift for my mom since she does Crossfit 4-5x a week and has a 300 day run streak or something crazy like that! (And she’s 76!!!!)
We gave Tommy’s mom an Ember mug last year because she’s always misplacing her coffee, and this way it will still be warm when she finds it. I cannot live without my Ember mug; I hate room temperature coffee but sometimes mom-life dictates that you can’t drink it right away. The Ember mug solves the hot-coffee struggle since it reheats your coffee to the perfect temperature anytime it starts to cool off.
All you do is charge the mug when you aren’t using it, and then you’re drinking hot coffee all morning. If the grandparents you’re shopping for are coffee or tea drinkers, this will be a hit. They also have a temperature controlled travel mug if they take their coffee on the go.
I was gifted a blanket from Chappy Wrap earlier this year and it’s SO cozy. I really appreciate that it’s polished and smooth, since I’ve been getting so tired with my Barefoot Dreams blankets. These come in a few different sizes and would make a wonderful gift. I have the Harborview Herringbone Navy Blanket.
We got both sets of grandparents a Skylight frame the first Christmas after my son was born and both sets LOVE IT. These frames show a slideshow of photos without any work on their part. You can send photos to the frame yourself through their, so there’s no need to worry about teaching grandparents how to use it. They can plug the frame into any outlet in their home (set up is SO easy, I promise), and then they’ll get to see photos of their grandkids all day, everyday!
Since neither of Thomas’ grandparents live in town (and my parents live across the country in Utah), they love getting to see regularly updates. Every time I talk to my dad, he mentions something he saw on the Skylight and he feels more connected to our life, which I so appreciate living so far away.
This is a great gift to do with siblings too since anyone you grant access to can upload photos. All five of my brothers upload to my parents’ Skylight frame.
I love a classic silhouette photo and there are a countless places to have them made. When I had them made of Thomas for the grandparents (and us!), I used Jessica Beaver Creative and had a GREAT experience. Etsy also has loads of options for custom silhouette prints. You’ll just need a good profile picture of your kiddo for them to work off of (which wasn’t the easiest with a 1 year old, when I gifted these, ha).
I got our prints professionally matted and framed before gifting but you could easily just buy a frame online for a more budget-friendly gift.
I gift a new one of these every year to the grandparents (and buy one for ourselves too!). We used Framebridge for custom ornmanets the last three years and it was a seamless experience. (And the quality was great. They even came in a cute gift box.) I think I may get our sonogram photo framed for baby #2’s first ornament. This would also be a great pregnancy announcement!
While a custom coffee mug is slightly cheesy, I know that most grandparents would still treasure it. My mother-in-law is obsessed with Thomas, so she’d think this is hilarious and also love it and use it. Let’s be real – she has probably lost her Ember mug by now, so I’ll probably get this for her this year. You can find these all over, but the easiest place to order is likely Amazon.
If you’re willing to splurge a bit, a silhouette necklace from Vana Chupp would an incredibly thoughtful and lasting gift. I didn’t know about this brand until recently, but now I want one of these for myself! Vana Chupp carries a few different options (monograms, full names, diamond details), but all of them are done with a photo of your child’s silhouette, so they are truly one of a kind and SO special. You can also get these in bracelet form which may be an even better option for some grandmothers.
You can choose between three different sizes for the silhouette charm, and I think medium is my preference. If you know that this recipient already has a charm necklace or bracelet, buy the charm on its own so she can add to her existing piece, which is what I would do for my MIL.
One year we had one of Thomas’ painting professionally framed and gifted that to his grandparents. I loved that the frame was beautiful and would easily be something they could actually display, but the art had so much meaning. We have one in our dining room next to high-end art and people always think it’s something we bought off EBTH, like the rest of our art, which is kind of hilarious.
For a more affordable option, these magnetic acrylic frames would be perfect for swapping art in and out! They are so easy to use and look great in every home. I bought these to put in my son’s bathroom.
I bought this little ornament kit this year from Amazon to make with Thomas! It’s a simple gift that’s so sweet!
I hope this helps make shopping for some of the most important people in your life a little easier!

]]>The post Toddler Gift Guide (mom approved too) appeared first on TeriLyn Adams.
]]>If you have little kids you’re shopping for this Christmas, these gift ideas are toddler (and mom) approved. They’re fun and not annoying.
However, creating a gift guide for kids is a little difficult because kids are so different, ages matter a lot for toys, and boys and girls may prefer different things. And since I only have a 3 year old, I felt like it made the most sense to create a gift guide for toddlers, since that’s what I have real experience with.
This little balance bike/scooter is still one of Thomas’ favorite toys. He’s used it for two years straight and it still fits him pretty well. I personally love the color options and how sturdy/well-made it is. He uses it inside most often, but it’s sturdy enough to go outside too. It’s is $50 and comes in 10 colors. I think gifts like this are always a big hit on Christmas because they can sit right under the tree, unwrapped, and ready to play with.
This pop up ball pit is another gift that’s super fun to leave unwrapped and ready to play with on Christmas morning. Unfortunately, the balls don’t come with this pit, so you’ll want to buy this set at the same time. But for $40 together, you’ve already got your “big gift” for Christmas covered. Thomas loves getting in here and playing with us in the basement. I do have to say, the balls get EVERYWHERE, so just be warned.
These magnetic building tiles are a huge hit in the Adams household. Not only are they fun to use with him, but I love getting to see his little mind world while he builds with these. This set comes with 70 pieces, so you will have plenty to play with. He’s had his set for a year and still plays with it almost daily.
I really love having a Kindle Fire on hand for when Thomas needs a little distraction/down time. While I try not to let him have much screen time, I do think the Kindle Fire is a great option for when he is using a screen. Amazon Kids has great (and easy to use) parental controls, and you can subscribe to Amazon Kids+ for tons of books, games, songs, etc. It has about 10 hours of charge, so I rarely have to remember to charge it, which is also nice. It’s twice as durable as the iPad mini, so that should be the #1 reason you do this instead of an iPad. And it’s way cheaper. It isn’t as intuitive as the iPad but you’ll quickly learn hw to navigate it.
While holiday pajamas aren’t likely going under the tree (since you’ll want them to have them all season!), they’re SUCH a fun way to get in the spirit with your littles. Thomas has starting caring which PJs he wears and usually picks them out each night, which is super cute. I always thought it was so cute that my sister-in-law gave my nieces and nephews new PJs on Christmas Eve – I want to implement that tradition!
We specifically love the brand Hanna Anderson and LAKE Pajamas. Hanna Andersson has a bunch of cute, festive prints. They use a flatlock seam on all of their PJs, which makes them super cozy for kids since some seams can irritate little ones.
LAKE is actually my favorite brand for my own pajamas, and there’s just nothing like them! The quality is unmatched and they use the softest pima cotton. I splurged and bought Thomas and I matching sets last year, and it made me so happy. His set ran a little small, so size up if you’re on the fence. Their PJs do shrink just a little so I always hang dry his to make them last longer.
This is the exact tower we have in our kitchen for Thomas! He likes standing in this to eat his meals, help me cook, or play at the counter. It’s nice that he can get in it himself now, and he’s less likely to fall since the back rail is at a safe height.
Thomas loves sitting his own chair. I love that it’s soft and easy to move from room to room. I also LOVE this one which goes with the nursery we’re planning for baby #2.
The Nugget is a REALLY great investment for you playroom. It’s part furniture, part toy. It’s basically a play couch that’s made of 4 foam pieces that can be configured in a ton of different ways. Also, it’s super soft and squishy, so it makes a great place to plop down in our playroom, but Thomas also loves to climb all over it. He has to “go down the slide” every night before bed (usually about 50x).
I’m actually getting Thomas this little trampoline for his birthday next week. As much as I hate buying more toys, all my friends say it’s 100% worth it since their kids use it for years.
Thomas LOVED his play sink for two straight years, with or without the water! We used it outside when it was warm out, and we put it in the bathtub in the winter. The dials are all turnable it encourages kinesthetic development, and he actually started drinking out a cup better after playing with the cups in this set, even empty! This was a huge hit around 1 year old, so if you have a little one around that age, snag this for Christmas.
Thomas (and I) love these. Lovevery Play Kits are designed to be a subscription, and you get a new kit delivered every 3 months. What a great gift – new toys every three months that are catered to your child’s age! You can also purchase the playkits individually rather than the subscription but we LOVE the subscription.
The play kits have age appropriate, adorable toys in each box (but not too many toys, thank goodness), and they quality is really nice. It’s convenient and fun to get toys that are made for your child’s age, and to be surprised when the boxes come each month. This is a great gift suggestion for grandparents if they’re asking what to get their favorite grandkid!
Look how tiny Thomas was!
What can I say? He’s obsessed with Play-Doh. Since he’s inevitably going to smash every color together in one giant ball anyway (every.time), I don’t get anything fancy.
This train table set is the cutest EVER! I want to get this for Thomas this year. I don’t expect the train tracks to stay put on the table for long, but maybe he’ll like playing with them on the table as he gets older. He loves to play with that exact set at the Children’s Playhouse in Boone!
If you follow me on Instagram, you know this was a hit in our house for a full year. Thomas isn’t quite as interested in golf right now as he once was, but if your little one loves it, this set is perfect and has everything you’d want.
We loveee books in our house! Our favorites right now are from the website PaperPie. I love the books they sell and after buying a few from Amazon that were just so weird and poorly written, I will stick to this company!
This website is another good resource for grandparents. My friend Tracey Markland can help you shop.
This is such a fun tent or fort for little boys or girls (two different designs!). I love the idea of reading books to Thomas in one of these. And the price is unbeatable. It would be cute to have to have it set up as surprise from Santa on Christmas morning. I think I’ll put this in Thomas’ room or playroom since those are the biggest rooms in our house!! (Spoiled much, kiddo?)
Even I want this keyboard mat! It’s huge so your kids use their feet to play each key. You can roll it up and store it easily too.
Younger toddler’s won’t understand this on Christmas morning, but it’s the gift that keeps on giving! We have memberships at both Kaleideum Children’s Museum in Winston-Salem and The Children’s Playhouse in Boone and we ALL love going!! This is another great option for grandparents to give!

]]>I HIGHLY recommend shopping early this year to make sure you can get gifts under the tree in time. I also love to shop early every year so that I can enjoy it so much more and can focus more on enjoying the holiday season once it arrives. And many of the gifts below are discounted this week for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which is another great reason to place your orders sooner rather than later!
One of my very favorite brands to to gift and receive is LAKE Pajamas. LAKE makes the softest products in the prettiest prints and colors in classic styles. I own about 6-7 sets of their PJs, a couple nightgowns and two of their robes, no lie.
When I’m gifting LAKE to a friend or family member, I typically send them the Cozy Robe since it’s luxurious and likely something they wouldn’t buy themselves. Plus, since it’s a bathrobe, the sizing is forgiving. If you’re unsure what size they wear, your guess is probably a good one.
However, if you do know the recipients size, any set of their pajamas in the DreamKnit fabric is also a perfect gift. The DreamKnit PJs run true to size and don’t shrink in the wash. However, the LAKE Pima Cotton sets do shrink in the wash, so size up in those.
Anything from LAKE will make a perfect gift on its own, but if you wanted to take it up a notch, you could pair the robe or PJ set with a body scrub, a fancy candle, or super fancy slippers. (I was gifted these last year and love them SO MUCH.)
I got this leather bucket bag from Madewell’s new fall arrivals a month ago and, WOW, do I love it. It’s large enough to fit a laptop but small enough to use as a daily purse. The shoulder strap is the perfect width too. You don’t realize how much of a difference a thicker shoulder strap makes in terms of comfort until you’re carrying it. The chocolate brown color is versatile and the buckle detail elevates the bag vs. a more basic option.
The Madewell Essential Bucket Tote would be a perfect Christmas gift to add to your own wishlist or to gift to a fashion-obsessed friend or family member in your life.
The shoe of the year is this pair of 327 sneakers from New Balance. Every year there’s a pair of sneakers that the world falls in love with (and that sell out SO fast), and this year, it’s the New Balance 327. Thankfully, Anthropologie is doing pre-orders for a few different colorways. While it’s not the instant gratification we all want when we order something online, these WILL arrive before Thanksgiving, with plenty of time to wrap and gift for the holidays. I wear a 1/2 size up from my regular shoe size and they’re SO comfortable.
Last year, this Air Essentials Half Zip from SPANX made Oprah’s Favorite Things list and sold out in seconds. It would have made the best gift ever if I could have actually ordered it last year for friends, but alas, I couldn’t get my hands on it anymore once Oprah shared it. I was gifted this pullover at LTK Con last year, and every single one of us influencers absolutely freaked out over the quality and how soft it was. Now that SPANX has restocked enough of these to go around, I think it’s going to be a VERY well-loved gift this year. I have an XS and it fits true to size.
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably expected to see the Ember Mug on this gift guide list. I talk about this self-heating mug all the time. I got hooked on it as a new mom since my coffee always got cold before I could finish it and now 3 years later, it’s still the only mug I use.
It comes with a charger that looks like a coaster that the mug goes on to charge. Once it’s fully charged, the self-warming puck built into the mug lasts for hours without needing to go back on the charging coaster. You can customizing the heat settings through the Ember app, too! I LOVE this mug and can’t drink my coffee without it now.
I have the 14oz size and think it’s far superior to the 10oz.
For the jewelry loving gals in your life, the Mejuri Heart Pendant Necklace is the PERFECT gift idea. It’s made with a 18k solid gold coating on top of sterling silver, so it will last for a really long time. The chain on this necklace is adjustable from 16″-18″ and the heart itself is the perfect size to be worn daily. I love all of my Mejuri pieces and love that their pieces are priced so well. (That link above will get you 10% off too!)
If you prefer something a little more personal, this “mama” initial necklace from Hart Studio is a great gift idea. I was gifted this last year and wear it a few times a week at least. And I can add a second initial for baby #2’s name whenever I’d like, which is so special.
A Nespresso is a great gift for any coffee lover (along with that Ember Mug). I got one a few years ago when I decided to cut back on caffeine. I was drinking 8 cups of coffee a day, and one of the contributing factors was that I was making a full pot of coffee each morning. The Nespresso makes one cup at a time which helped me limit how much I was drinking + made my one (or two, let’s be honest) cup of coffee so much better. I also appreciate the half caff pods. Nespresso has a few different models, but the Vertuo is the one we have and love. If you buy this, make sure to get some pods so that you can use it on Christmas morning! I also have this Nespresso milk frother and love it.
I always prefer a real book to an electronic copy, but I did decide to splurge on the Kindle Paperwhite for a few trips I had planned this fall. I didn’t want to pack multiple books in my luggage, so I figured a Kindle was a better option. And I have to admit, I LOVE it. It’s so sleek, small, and easy to hold with one hand. It has adjustable warm light so that you’re not keeping yourself awake with traditional screen light AND has up to 10 weeks of battery life. It’s a great gift idea for anyone who loves to read.
I was gifted a Chappy Wrap blanket earlier this year and it’s the coziest (and best looking) throw blanket we have now! I love how thick it is, but it’s not heavy or annoying to have to fold up everyday. This would make such a great gift because you can choose a color that feels best aligned with whoever you’re gifting to! I have the Harborview Herringbone Navy Blanket.
There are a few different size options, so you can definitely find a blanket under $100!
I never expected to be this passionate about bedding, but here I am telling you it’s worth asking Santa for bedding for Christmas. Tommy and I love this Westwood quilt so much that we own 3. They are on every bed in our house (and in our Boone vacation home). The material is luxurious and the weight is just right. We own the white since it’s so classic, but this also comes in other colorways. It would make a wonderful gift for moms or grandmothers who appreciate nice home gifts!
While you’re ordering the quilt, you might also want to consider this Fresh Magnolia Wreath. It’s real (sooo beautifully made), and dries out perfectly over the weeks that you display. We got ours a week ago and it’s more beautiful than I anticipated.
I shared all of the Serena and Lily items we have in our home in this home tour blog post. We love our counter tools, bed sheets, and towels.
I tested the Stanley 40oz water bottle against thiis Simple Modern 40oz water bottle from Amazon and Simple Modern won by a LANDSLIDE. Not only is slimmer and lighter, but it doesn’t leak and costs less! AND you can find it in stock almost all of the time. I often gift these to friends for birthdays and holidays. It’s the perfect gift for a smaller budget ($30), and everyone loves it! If you need a gift for your child’s teacher or your niece/cousin, this is it.
I ordered this travel toiletry bag after seeing someone share that it fits a TON of stuff and oh my gosh were they right. I seriously can’t get over how great this is, especially as someone who used to pack 3 separate toiletry bags for trips. I’m religious about my skincare routine and love to switch up my makeup, so I often pack many options. This bag fits every single thing I need (see in this video), other than my hair care (I take 3-5 hair care items too). It’s a perfect gift for your girlfriends this season and would also be a fun “vehicle” for other fun stocking-stuffer-sized products.
I have gifted a few different brands/styles of colored wine glasses in the last year and they’ve always been a hit! I gave this set of 6 pink set of wine glasses to a work friend last year and she raved about them. Also, I gift this tortoise shell set of two stemless glasses to my Content Manager a month ago and she’s using them non-stop. And then I saw this set of colored champagne coupe glasses last week at the Amazon Creator Summit and LOVED them. I can’t decide which is best since I love them all. So, just choose the set that makes the most sense for your friend’s style!
I haven’t been a big perfume gal until this year when I discovered a few clean perfume brands that I realy like and that I don’t react to (most perfumes make me very stuffy). And while gifting perfume can be hard since scents are so personal, DIME Beauty makes a perfect sampler set! For only $28, you can gift 5 different scents for them to try. I love the majority of them, but Lovely Sweet Dreams is my favorite from this set. You could pair it with an overnight lip mask, if you want.
I tried the Quench and Shine Restorative Hair Mask from Colleen Rothschild last year and it blew my mind. I prefer it over my regular conditioner most days! It’s so hydrating but doesn’t weigh hair down, and it smells amazing. It lasts 5-6 months too. You could gift it on its own or pair it with fun claw clips to stick with the hair theme.
That’s all for now! Be sure to follow my Amazon Storefront for more ideas and check out my other gift guides below! I’ll be updating the guides below over the next week, but you can see last year’s picks right now.

]]>The post 15 Gift Ideas for Runners Who Have Everything appeared first on TeriLyn Adams.
]]>As a long-time runner who has run four marathons and over 20 half marathons, I often get asked what to get as a gift for someone who likes to run. It’s usually being asked by friends, parents or spouses of runners, and I love hearing when loved ones are supporting their favorite runners in their goals! I’m not running quite as much these days as I’m postpartum with my second baby, but it still makes me so happy to help people shop for running gear.
But I know it can be difficult to find gifts that they don’t already have, since most runners love their gear and love trying new gear. These gifts are in lots of price ranges, so you’re sure to find something. If you want to get something smaller for your best running friend, check out my Gifts Guide for Runners under $20.
I used AirPods for running for a while, but these Shokz headphones are much better (and safer!). I shared a full review of Shokz in this blog post. And you can see how they fit in this Instagram video. I especially love them for running on trails when I need to be very aware. The battery life is really good too – even for long distance runners.
As a runner myself, this muscle roller is so essential for working out the tightness in my legs. I try to use mine a few times a week, and I really do notice a difference. It’s more expensive that other rollers, which makes it a really nice gift that they’d be excited about. This foam roller is a more affordable option if they don’t own one yet!
Biometric testing would make a very unique gift this year that still supports their running goals. This service analyzes your bloodwork and gives you specific recommendations for nutrition, exercise and lifestyle on what to improve as it relates to your health and fitness. You can also set goals to improve endurance and they’ll customize your recommendations to support that. I love it! I have a full review that answers most FAQs. Use this InsideTracker link and code TERILYN at checkout for 10% off a plan.
I use this light up vest every time I run in the dark. It’s waterproof, sweat-proof, incredibly lightweight and I feel so much safer with this on. My three best running friends have it too and love it.
I LOVE this stuff for tight muscles. And so does my 75 year old mom who runs and does Crossfit. It’s a thick balm that you rub on any spots with pain and the CBD in the cream helps relieve pain and inflammation. Read my full review of Equilibria CBD for all of my Equilibria favorites. Use code “terilynadams” for 15% off your first order.
This affordable Garmin would be a great gift for a runner who doesn’t yet have a GPS watch. Garmins are a great tool to help improve your favorite runner’s training and I have never had one stop working, which is why it makes such a great gift. I love that I can see my pace in real time as I’m running so that I can follow my training plans the right way! They also have GPS so that you can see your running route, monitor your heart rate, check your cadence and more.
They are ALWAYS the best gift ideas. New socks are the best!! My favorite budget pick is this Zella pair which comes in a pack of 3, but to really treat your favorite runner, I’d buy SwiftWick or Bombas socks. I also have a list of all the best socks that may be helpful.
My personal favorite are Injinji’s – yes, they’re weird looking but I love them since I have some foot problems. (They’re great if you have hammer toes or issues with toes wanting to overlap when you run.) If you want to make it a slightly bigger gift, throw in a pair of Oofos slides! They aren’t cute but MAN they’re comfortable after a run.
Pro-tip if you’re new to shopping for running socks: make sure the fabric is not made of cotton (a major blister cause). Runners want their socks made of moisture-wicking material.
If you’ve ever asked yourself “What do you give a marathon runner?” the answer is this. The Theragun is used in sports massages because it’s so effective. I got Tommy a Hypervolt (similar, but different brand. Now I’m a Theragun fan) two years ago and we both say it’s one of the best gifts we’ve gotten. I got a Theragun for my father-in-law who is a golf professional and he loves it. This Amazon massage gun is more affordable and also has great reviews.
These Goodr Sunglasses are the only ones I wear. They come in lots of colors and they don’t slip off my face. Only $25 too! They stay in place for my entire workout (no matter how sweaty).
I always recommend this Run Fast Eat Slow cookbook when I get asked about running nutrition. I make recipes from this cookbook weekly. It makes a perfect gift! (I’ve actually given it to four friends for Christmas and birthdays!)
You could pair the cookbook with some energy gels or running fuel chews to make it a slightly larger gift.
The Down For It All Vest is the best running vest on the market, I promise. While a vest like this doesn’t make sense as a summer gift, it’s the best cold weather running gift ever. I bought this a few years ago because I needed a layer for cold runs that wasn’t a full on jacket and MAN I wish I had ordered it sooner. It’s lightweight, has pockets, fits right against your body so there’s not bouncing, and isn’t TOO warm. The fit is true to size. I wrote a full review of the Down For It All vest here.
This isn’t a water bottle they can run with, but it will help them get ALL their water in throughout the day. I also own the Stanley tumbler and this Simple Modern version is 10x better. It does not leak, has a slimmer look, weighs less, and the price is better. Add a pack of LMNT to this bottle as a little extra gift.
Running hats are essentials for all runners. This TrailHeads hat is cute and breathable. And it won’t break the bank either!
LMNT electrolytes are a great gift idea. These are my ALL time favorite electrolytes, and I’ve tried dozens. My favorite flavors are watermelon and raspberry. Citrus is pretty good too. Use this DrinkLMNT link to get a free LMNT Sample Pack with any order (and get some for yourself too!). I’d get the variety pack so that they can try a few flavors.
I didn’t like running with a running belt until I tried this Spibelt (which is essential for running while pregnant). It holds your phone, keys, cards, fuel and it doesn’t bounce. I highly recommend for any trail runners or runners who run routes that require them to carry things with them.
Okay, your turn – if you’re a runner, what would you love to get for Christmas this year? If you need more ideas for a specific runner, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll try to help you!

]]>The post Beautycounter Holiday Sets + Gifts for the Beauty Junkie appeared first on TeriLyn Adams.
]]>Every year, Beautycounter rolls out exclusive gift sets for the holidays, and every year, I’m SO excited to try everything, and I gift them as well. I also like to break some of these sets up into smaller gift; Ttere are a few that make the perfect stocking stuffers if you split them up or make cute teacher gifts paired with a coffee gift card.
This year, the Clean Eau De Parfum Duo set is my TOP pick. Beautycounter has never launched fragrance before, so this is VERY exciting, and you can read more about it below. I also love the Hand Cream Trio and the Polish & Plump Facial Trio. I fully anticipate that they will both sell out based on the holiday products that sold out first in the last few years.
As a Beautycounter consultant, I got to shop and try the products early and I’m sharing a few of my favorites!
Ready to see what’s included this year? Let’s dive in!
Beautycounter has finally launched PERFUME! Beautycounter has been working on creating a scent category for years, and this perfume duo is the very first launch. Both scents were created in partnership with a fine fragrance house, and they’re EWG verified, safe for even the most sensitive skin, and even I don’t react to them (and I react to many clean perfumes, including Phlur).
There are two scents in this duo: Sun Spill and Miles Away. Sun Spill is an uplifting citrusy floral scent and Miles away is an herbal green scent. Do NOT miss this duo!
Beautycounter’s Beyond Gloss is a great gloss when you’re on the go since it applies perfectly without a mirror and a little goes a long way. This set includes four NEW colors: Daisy Shimmer (a sheer opalescent shimmer), Toffee Shimmer (a bronze gold shimmer), Petunia (a true rose color), and Posy (a cool plum shade). They’re mini sizes, and even the mini will last you months. They’re perfect for your purse, clutch, or car. This is one of those sets that I’ll split up and gift individually! I’ll give them to a few friends of mine with a card. Or give the full set to a beauty junkie who’ll be excited to try all the colors. (This is a great option for nieces!)
They’re all great for fall and winter, and the shades are designed to look good on all skin tones.
Next up is the Lashes & Lips Makeup Duo which includes Beautycounter’s famous a Thing Big All-in-One Mascara and their Sheer Genius Conditioning Lipstick in a brand new shade. This set also comes with a reusable makeup bag! Reusable Makeup Bag. While I don’t personally use this mascara, it does have a loyal following. (All oil-soluble mascaras transfer onto my skin so I can’t use them; I only use tubing mascaras, which I explained in this post.) The Sheer Genius Conditioning Lipstick is another cult favorite. It’s like a blend of lipstick and gloss. And this brand new shade, Transformer, was made to enhance the natural color of your lips.
This set would be a perfect gift for a teenager who’s just starting to wear makeup. Or a beauty junkie who would want some minis to keep in her purse.
I was really excited when I saw that the Hidden Gem Makeup Set included my very favorite cream blush + Beautycounter’s famous priming serum. While I really like the priming serum, the blush is the part I’m most jazzed about. When I tell you it lasts forever, I mean forEVER. These have the best staying power, natural finish, and can also be used on your lips in a pinch. Their cream blushes blend the easiest of any brand I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot) so it’s a good way to venture into cream products.
The priming serum is a favorite of many Beautycounter junkies because it is a makeup + skincare combo. Not only does it improve the wear of your foundation, but it also makes your skin look plump and smooth all day.
Eeekkk the Lip Jellies are BACK! If you’re new here, these have a cult following and they’re my favorite minis ever! These baby lip glosses are ultra-glossy and have the perfect sweet scent/taste. They aren’t sticky and are so fun to apply since they have a bit of nostalgia to them. They don’t have as much as the glosses but give more of a tinted sheen.
This set comes with 5 shades: confetti (an iridescent shimmer), Oat Latte (a milky peach), Sugarplum (a sheer berry), Lollipop (a sheer, bright pink/red shimmer), and a returning favorite, Sorbet.
While this set would be a perfect one to split up into smaller gifts, I know I’m going to end up keeping them all for myself. I also have to mention that the packaging is SO fun for this set too.
I am really excited about the Shimmer & Glow Makeup Duo set. It includes Beautycounter’s talc-free highlight powder in a brand new shade Cava (shimmering rose bronze) along with the fan favorite cream eyeshadow in a new shade, Blaze — a shimmering pink champagne that draws light to your lids. Both of these products are the perfect addition to a makeup junkie’s arsenal, especially for fun holiday festivities.
(Here are some cocktail dresses for holiday parties!)
If you’re a Vitamin C fanatic (like me), then you will LOVE the Brighter Days set. This includes both a mini of the All Bright C serum and a mini of the our All Bright Triple Acid AHA Toner. The toner is designed to refine your pores and make your skin glow (it’s incredibly effective), and the All Bright C serum is the best daily vitamin C serum I’ve tried. It’s helped reduce my dark sun spots SO much (I shared a before and after here). You could easily gift this set to anyone on your list who loves skincare, but I’m keeping it for myself so that I can have travel sizes of my favorite products.
The Countermatch Carry-On Set is by far the most requested set we’ve had in a while. People who use and love Countermatch products have been begging for a travel-sized set since Countertime got one last year. I’m so happy they made this! Not only is it great for Countermatch lovers but it’s the perfect set to gift to a teen who’s just starting a skincare routine! Countermatch products are designed for normal or combination skin and use gentle ingredients to cleanse, hydrate, and balance.
The Keep Cool Radiance Duo set is a fun option for a skincare junkie. This set has a full-size bottle of the best-selling Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum which is what I use in my skincare routine. It helps improve the skin barrier function, increases skin radiance, and decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I love how gentle it is too (it’s the perfect serum to alternate with your more aggressive retinol products). Then, you also get these brand new Refreshing Facial Globes to help depuff and improve absorption. They work best when they’re chilled, so just put them in the refrigerator.
Sets like this are super fun to give because I don’t think anyone on my list would buy those Facial Globes, which makes them such a fun and “extra” treat. It’s always fun to receive things like this and get to try them without having to buy them for yourself.
The Polish & Plump Facial Trio is a powerhouse set. It would make 3 really good gifts or one GREAT gift for one lucky friend or family member. This set includes a mini Counter+ Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm, mini Reflect Effect AHA Smoothing Facial Mask, and a mini Mighty Plump Ceramide Water Cream. All THREE of these products are best sellers and worth buying on their own, so to get them as minis, all together, is just super fun. I could rave about all three separately for paragraphs, but I’ll just let you read my full blog reviews of each (linked above).
Long story short, if you only get one set, it should be this one.
The next set is the Goodnight & Glow duo which comes with a Mini Overnight Resurfacing Peel and a mini Reflect Effect Overnight Resurfacing Body Peel. The Overnight Resurfacing Peel is one of the best products Beautycounter makes and truly restores + renews your skin. It’s a safer alternative retinol and what I’ve been using since I got pregnant. The Body Peel is the same thing, but for your body instead of your face. It’s a GREAT option for anyone with Keratosis pilaris.
The Sugar & Silk Body Set is one of the easiest sets to gift because it’s not skin-type specific! Everyone loves a luxurious bath set, and this one comes with a body polish (my all time favorite body scrub) and a body oil (which is super luxe and smells amazing).
Every single year this limited edition Good Scents Hand Trio set sells out. The hand cream trio is not only an easy gift idea, but the packaging looks so high-end and fancy. AND this set is pretty affordable too! I tend to split these up and gift them along with a small coffee gift card.
Brand new to the gifting lineup this year is the Triple Quench Body Butter Set. Similarly to the Hand Crean Trio, I bet this will sell out! Body butter makes a perfect gift for your hair stylist, your nail tech, your mail lady, etc. This is limited edition, so you have to get it now!
I mentioned above that I like to split these sets up to create smaller gifts. Things like the hand cream or body butter go well with a Starbucks gift card, and the lip gloss is great with a sweet note mailed to friend! There are lots of ways to make these sets smaller, but then again, who doesn’t love a full set of fun skincare goodies? :).
And no shame at all if you keep them for yourself. In fact, maybe go ahead and order 2 so you can keep one ;).
1. When I first joined Beautycounter as a consultant, I didn’t really believe when they said holiday products would sell out. But… after five holiday seasons with the company, I now know that they do. So if there is anything you KNOW you want, shop sooner than later.
2. I would also be sure to add Band of Beauty to your cart before checking out — It’s kind of like Sephora rewards… but better. You get free shipping on $100+ orders for a year and you’ll also get 10% product credit back on every order (it adds up fast!). You’ll get a free gift with your first order if you spend $50.
3. Be sure to select TeriLyn Adams as your consultant at checkout so I can help with any order questions that come up! I so appreciate it!
4. Make sure you’re on my newsletter to updates on any promos launching during the holidays, e.g. Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.
5. You have 60 days to make returns, no questions asked. So, if you aren’t sure something will work for you, no worries! They even cover return shipping.

]]>The post Affordable and Splurge-Worthy Mother’s Day Gift Ideas appeared first on TeriLyn Adams.
]]>I don’t think she even realizes what she did was special, but I have so many fond memories and traditions around holidays thanks to her. She also taught me how to make bread and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t have her teach me how to sew and how to plant garden beds properly. (I’m just hoping for the best with all the plants I bought this week!)
Moms are SO amazing, and while I think we could stand to celebrate Mother’s Day more than just once a year, I try to make it special for the moms in my life.
In today’s post I’m rounding up all of the best Mother’s Day gift ideas I can think of, both in the affordable (Amazon, mostly) category, and in the higher-end, pricier category. Mother’s Day isn’t all about gifts of course, but a small token of appreciation is always a great way to show someone you love them. And let’s be real – sometimes us moms just need an excuse to order ourselves a little something.
I hope this gift guide makes shopping for the lovely mother figures in your life a breeze. And, if you want to casually text it to your husband to make sure you get a decent gift, tell him I told you to do so.
The first place I thought of when I started to plan out this blog post was Amazon since what mom doesn’t love shopping on Amazon? I’ve been blown away by how many great (and high quality) things I’ve found since I started writing weekly Amazon roundups, and I knew I’d find a handful of perfect gift ideas for Mother’s Day. I wasn’t disappointed!
A beautiful table top item is always a great gift, and this rattan water pitcher is just as useful as it is pretty. And when she isn’t serving her guests, your mom can use this as a flower vase. In fact, you could easily add some flowers to the pitcher when you present your gift or pair it with an Urban Stems subscription. (More on that below.)
I immediately bought this blanket for myself when I found it online. It’s a great throw blanket for outdoor patio sets since it’s not too real cashmere, but it’s soft and cozy enough to keep inside as well. I love how thin it feels (like a pashmina), since it’s warming up quite a bit and our heavy blankets are being stored away. I ordered the light blue and it’s beautiful. (It’s showing up a little more green in this picture than it actually is. It’s more of a true sky blue.)
I’ve been doing the Bible Recap this year with Tara-Leigh Cobble, and it has truly been AMAZING. She wrote this devotional that also doubles as a beautiful coffee table book on Israel. I’m getting this for my mother-in-law, along with an Ember mug.
I’ve carried this bag nonstop since I bought it a few months ago and can’t recommend it enough! It’s such a nice size for everyday: not too big or heavy, but it can still hold everything you might want to carry with you, including a laptop. It’s wipeable and easy to clean, the green color is super fun and easy to style for spring, and the best part? It looks almost exactly like its more expensive twin, the St. Barths by Naghedi.
Who doesn’t love a pretty set of cheese knives? Even if your mom already has a set, they’re likely needing a refresh. I love the idea of gifting this set from Amazon alongside a wooden cheese board from a local store (I love Fiddle and Fig in Winston Salem). Or you could bring over her favorite hors d’oeuvres and share them with her.
One of my very favorite stores in Winston-Salem is doing a Candle Subscription that you can gift for Mother’s Day! Essentially, you pay for all three candles up front, but they are delivered over the course of May-July, so that your mom would get a new one each month! I LOVE their candles (and I’m extremely picky and sensitive to scent), and think this would make a wonderful gift.
Now for some of my favorite gifts in a slightly higher price range.
Jewelry is always a perfect gift idea for moms, and Mejuri is the way to go. I finally invested in some fine everyday jewelry, and I wear it almost daily. I have a handful of favorites from this brand. First is this tiny band with pave diamonds on the top. It stacks perfectly with other rings, and the price tag is SO good for diamonds!
Next is this Round Topaz Necklace. It lays so elegantly but has such a stunning stone. I love that you could wear it on its own or layered with other jewelry.
My third pick would be these Gold Huggies Earrings. I love how simple they are (such a great everyday option!).
If you really want to splurge on something for your mom, this heart shape necklace is stunning.
I’ve gifted Ember mugs to almost every friend and family member in my life at this point! They are THE best invention ever made, and you can’t convince me otherwise. If you don’t know what an Ember mug is, it’s a coffee mug that reheats your coffee to the perfect temp whenever it starts to cool off. I stick the mug back on the charger before I head to bed. This is ideal for new moms who aren’t able to drink their coffee while it’s hot in between feedings and diaper changes. I recommend the 14oz option because who’s drinking only 10oz of coffee…
These LAKE Pajamas would also make a great Mother’s Day gift if you want to pair the mug with something else and spoil your favorite mom. (This post has more details on why I love LAKE pjs so much.)
You know what’s better than sending your mom flowers for Mother’s Day? Sending her flowers every month with a subscription. Flowers are nice, but a flower subscription is truly lovely. And Urban Stems makes THE most stunning arrangements too. See the one below that I sent to Hannah!
I hope this makes shopping a bit easier and one thing you can cross off your mental to-do list!
