We recommend spending 1 night in Puno so that you can enjoy both the city and the magnificent Lake Titicaca. You can take a day tour of the islands on the lake (including the famous Floating Islands of Uros), or experience a homestay with a native family if you have a little more time to add to your schedule. Isla del Sol: According to Inca legend this small island in the middle of Lake Titicaca was home to the sun god Inti, and was the mythical birthplace of the original founders of the Inca Empire. A 4-hour round trip voyagein our private boat takes you out to see the ancestral terracing and ruins of the southern part of the island as well as the existing island communities (includes a 1-hour walk from the original sun temple to the small island town of Yumani). Includes island entrance fee.

We recommend spending at least 2-3 days in La Paz, so that you can really get to know this city at the heart of Bolivia. From its modern cable car system to the otherworldly moon valley just outside of the city, explore everything that the highest capital city in the world has to offer!
