Unlike in other countries where the hop on hop off concept is mainly associated with young backpackers, Peru Hop is unique in that we have an amazing mix of people of all ages from around the world.
Often our older passengers love the energy of our younger passengers, whilst our younger passengers love the experience and stories that our older passengers share with them.
The average age of passengers on our bus is between 25-35 years old, however we have had quite a few families on our bus as well as people in their 70s and 80s, and below we can explain the type of passengers we have on board and why Peru Hop suits everybody!

My husband and I used Peru Hop to explore Peru and we couldn’t be happier. We were so nervous about doing a hop on hop off since we like to explore on our own but Peru Hop ended up being so much fun! Peru hop was definitely something else. We went from Cusco to Lima on the “Get to Lima Quick pack.” You meet new people, get new experiences and understand the best of Peru. My guide was Deborah, and she was the sweetest sweetheart ever. All the passengers on our bus felt safe and had fun together and a few of us are friends now. Peru Hop shows you that there’s more to the beautiful country than just Machu Picchu and Cusco. The in-between cities were amazing and we’re so glad to have experienced a new taste of Peru. 100% coming back.

Peru Hop had come highly recommended by a few mates and it didn’t disappoint for one second. Solo travelling can sometimes be a little stressful getting from place to place but all of this was eliminated with Peru Hop. Our two guides Ricardo and Johnny were brilliant from the moment I got on the bus until I parted ways with the lads in Arequipa. Its was good to meet Ricardo again when I landed in Cusco. The beauty about Peru Hop for solo travellers is you meet so many people when you get on the bus in Lima, you form a bond in Paraceus and Huaccachina and you keep on hanging out together all the way to Cusco depending on what people are doing along the way, it’s great seeing familiar faces around Arequipa and Cusco thanks to Peru Hop. Would love to do it all over again!

From getting picked up and dropped off by private taxis to having tours organized for me, PeruHop made my Peru experience as easy as possible. My plans in Peru changed a lot and it was easy to just adjust my itinerary online on the fly. Highlights of the trip for me included the tour of the floating islands of Lake Titicaca in Puno. I wanted to see them but didn’t want to spend much time in Puno, and with PeruHop, we arrived in Puno in the afternoon, were given a nice hotel to relax at, took the tour, and then got whisked away to Cusco after a few short hours. Other highlights include the quick stop through Nazca, a pisco tasting in Ica, things that wouldn’t be included on your normal buses. It takes away the hassle of getting to and from bus stations and the chaos of South American transportation as a whole. Definitely worth the premium.

Back again in Germany from a fantastic journey in Peru partly together with PERU HOP I would like to thank you PERU HOP. PERU HOP they helped me a lot with my travel arrangements. All my questions in advance were answered very quickly and precise. The PERU HOP bus travel from Cusco to Lima over Puno, Arequipa, Nazca, Huacachina, Paracas were punctual and very satisfactory. Travel guides and bus driver were very friendly, competently.
The staff in the Cusco and Lima office were also very helpful.

We traveled with Peru Hop from Lima to Cusco using their “Get to Cusco Quick” service. The experience was great! We really enjoyed the trip and Naomi, our guide, did an amazing job keeping us entertained and informed. The bus was very comfortable, I even got a good 9 hours sleep on the overnight leg. The seats really do recline all the way back! The stops along the way were a great way to see just some of the wonders of Peru. We’d definitely use Peru Hop again and would recommend them as a great way to get around Peru.

Guides:
All guides speak (proper) english, are friendly, funny, helpful and knowledgeable. They support you with information about whatever you want to know or need and will give you an answer to every question. They are always pleased to help you to book or choose an extra tour for you. Very friendly and honest people.
All my guides were local, what is really amazing because you can literally feel how much they love their country and their jobs.
I had different guides for different destinations: Yoced, Aron and in the end I was lucky to meet Elvio, who has given me the best recommendation about trips around.
But any way i need to say “thank you” to Aron! He has taken care of me as I almost lost consciousness due to altitude sickness.
All guides were cool and special. I enjoyed my trip with organized guids and also the easy communication with the office (first I upgraded my ticket to Bolivia Hop but due to the political situation in Bolivia I had to cancel it again. It was no problem to upgrade my ticket and got my money back when I had canceled.)
Busses:
The busses was comfortable and clean. In general the drivers were nice and professional.
I enjoyed this trip, met amazing people and had a great time.

For me, Peru Hop was the perfect way to travel solo through Peru and Bolivia (its safe and you’re always being looked after) and it was incredibly easy with the guides booking accommodation etc for you while you’re on the bus. You also get to see so many amazing places along the way, not just the main stops, as well as meeting a lot of different people and making loads of friends.
The way it all works is so simple and easy, especially with the help of the guides. Our journey from Lima to Arequipa was seamless, all thanks to Ricardo and Nicolle who were amazing! Out of all of the guides I’ve had on this trip they were by far the best – they made a huge effort to interact with every single one of the passengers and knew everyone’s name, they were always so excited/enthusiastic and could not do enough for you, always going out of their way to make sure everyone was having the best time! Thank you so much Ricardo and Nicolle!
Elvio was also great, although we only saw him for a short amount of time, and Juan gave us lots of recommendations of what to do in Cusco, so that was good too!
I’ll definitely be recommending Peru Hop to all of my friends and I’ll be keeping an eye out for any new routes/countries that I can explore with Peru Hop in the future!

I was trying to get to Huacachina safely and as a female solo traveler I didn’t like the idea of getting a local bus. Luckily I came across Peru Hop and it was the best tour.
Everything being organized for you makes it so much easier, the extra tours on the way down meant I got to see a lot more than on a local bus and I thought it was quite cheap considering I got to stay in Huacachina for a night and had three activities organized in between.
Highly recommend.

Peru Hop is a great way to explore Peru. You can plan a trip quickly with the website, which was an excellent option for us since we did not have much time to plan a trip and had a tight schedule. Everything is well organized. Once they pick you up from a hotel, then you are in good hands. We had three excellent and very friendly guides Ricardo, Johny, and Elvio. They all spoke English very well and were extremely helpful. They helped people to book accommodations and tours while in the bus, explained details and answered questions. Another thing that I liked is their meal organization. To reduce waiting time, we were ordering food while in the bus. So that by the time we stop at the restaurant, all the meals are ready. This is very good organization!
I must admit, I was a bit skeptical about the bus. We typically fly, rent a car, and go. I do not even recall when I took a bus last time prior to the trip. But I am not disappointed, and, in fact, very happy with our decision. Another important thing is that we decided to do this trip with our two-year old daughter. She was absolutely fine. She had her seat and so was able to lay down and sleep well when she needed. We also downloaded 15 hours of cartoons to the phone and brought a phone clamp with a gooseneck holder. So that she had entertainment during the longer rides. Our friends asked, “are you going to bring a bag of diapers?” For those who have this type of concerns, there are a lot of babies in Peru and you can buy diapers in any amount (from one to a box) in any pharmacy. There were two overnight bus rides. Again, it went pretty well. She slept much better than adults because she could lay flat. Overall, I can say that, despite the majority of travellers are in their early twenties, Peru Hop can be considered baby friendly. You (parents) just need to be prepared.
We had an incident in Paracas. We suspected that our 2-year old had a joint dislocation or something similar with her hand. It turned out that everything was OK. Nevertheless, we had such a great support from our guides, especially from Ricardo. He organized a car with a driver, who drove us to the nearest city to see a doctor (special thanks for Jose for providing his car with the driver). They were even ready to provide urgent transport to go from Paracas to Lima in the middle of the night if the situation would become more serious. As I said, it turned out that everything was fine and we went to a boat tour to see the islands in the morning after our midnight hospital tour.

This bus trip covered an area of Peru that was interesting and close to Lima. We stayed in Paracas, Huacachina flew over the Nazca lines, visited poor mans Galapagos and relaxed. Quick 4 days well planned by the Peru Hop company.
